We are always looking for the best solutions and share what we have learned over the years on this website (that has just been launched in the end of July 2020). Please leave your comments here & ask your questions. We'd love to know what you have learned. You can post pictures, use links as references. We'll also post related information on the blog.

Working with neighbors to create alternative livelihoods is one important thing we do. If there is a choice between living from deforestation or from ecotourism then most choose the latter. Illegal hunting is mainly done in three forms: hunting of small animals for food, hunting jaguars when jaguar habitat has been cleared for cattle farming and hunting for sport. We are working together with school, local organizations and neighbors to move towards saving the whole ecosystem and creating sustainable jobs.

Dear Jaguar Falls community. After being offline I am back and have photos and news to share from a 3-day hike with amazing scientists Kimberly Craighead and Milton Yacelga collecting memory cards from their camera traps. On the cards we saw tapirs, a jaguar and ourselves. It makes me happy to know that we share the forest with these magnificent cats and walk the same paths as they do.

If you grow up enjoying the forest you will want to protect it. Excursion with a careful of hikers up Jaguar Falls Valley.
